A NSW Government website
The NSW Government wants to partner with you to prevent litter in your local area. We encourage you to apply for available grants under the NSW Litter Prevention Grants Program, and we will work closely with you to develop and implement exciting and impactful projects in your local area.
No matter if you are new to litter prevention or project delivery, we have resources and guidelines to help you design and deliver your project and support you through the process.
We have a range of litter prevention grants for councils, communities and businesses. Please review the available grants below and contact the NSW EPA Litter Prevention Unit at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on funding rounds.
These grants help NSW local councils and Regional Waste Groups to deliver litter prevention projects that answer community needs. They include funding for on-ground and broader strategic projects that build organisational capacity to manage litter in the long term.
Community groups can target litter hotspots with this funding for small-scale local projects or larger strategic projects.
NSW local councils, Regional Waste Groups, community groups, businesses, and other government agencies can use these grants to clean up cigarette butt litter hotspots.
